Punched Copper Bar
Thanks to computer-controlled fabrication, Storm Grounding's copper ground or bus bars, with contractor-specified punched holes patterns, ship within 5 business days of order.

Constructed of Copper Alloy C11000 manufactured to ASTM B-187, Storm's punched copper bars are available in dozens of sizes and hole patterns to meet the grounding requirements on installations with exacting demands. Available in .125", .250" and .375" thickness and in unplated or with electroplated finishes (see below).

Storm's busbar presses and punching machines are computer controlled for accuracy and speed.

Un-Plated Copper, Silver or Tin-plated?

Simple: Copper Grounding Bars are the industry standard because of the excellent conductivity of copper.

Silver-Plated Grounding Bars are the industry Cadillac, not only because silver is a precious metal. Silver has the highest electrical conductivity of all metals, even higher than copper, but high cost (except for Storm's lower priced silver plating) and tarnishing have prevented its wide used for grounding.

Tin-Plated Grounding Bars can be a better choice for outdoor or other harsh environments, as tin electro-plating reduces the chance of corrosion interfering with the ground connection. Tin plating also disguises the copper color, serving as a secondary theft deterrent, while making the copper unusable for illegal recycling.
